The Teatro Principal resolves the VI PREMIS DE TEATRE JOS\u00c9 ESTRUCH, announcing the winners and the date for the awards gala.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury for the awarding of the VI Premis Jos\u00e9 Estruch for the 2021-2022 season of the Teatre Principal met last June 7th to proceed to the awarding of the prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury was made up of:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mila Garc\u00eda, actress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marc Llorente, theatre critic of the newspaper Informaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elena Candela, actress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manuel Palomar, Culture technician of the Alicante City Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diego Juan, actor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juana Mar\u00eda Balsalobre Garc\u00eda, doctor in History and art critic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosa M\u00aa Monz\u00f3, former director of the Gabriel Mir\u00f3 Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iv\u00e1n Jim\u00e9nez, director, actor, author and theatre educator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juan Antonio R\u00edos Carratal\u00e1, Professor of Literature at the University of Alicante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio D\u00edez Mediavilla, EU Professor of Literature Didactics at the University of Alicante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio Sempere, journalist, writer and film critic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mar\u00eda Dolores Padilla Olba, Deputy Director of the Teatro Principal de Alicante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After discussing and evaluating the different theatre shows and Valencian productions in the programme of the aforementioned season with a total of 37 plays performed at the Teatro Principal de Alicante, the following prizes were awarded:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia contribution to the performing arts of the Valencian Community<\/strong>: Compa\u00f1\u00eda Ferroviaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia for the best cast performance:<\/strong> Full cast of Cigarreras, Tamara Canosa, Susana Dans, Merce Castro, Isabel Naveira, Covadonga Berdi\u00f1as, Ana Santos and Ledicia Sola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia for Best Leading Actor:<\/strong> Carlos Hip\u00f3lito in Oceania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia for Best Leading Actress:<\/strong> Blanca Portillo in Silencio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia for Best Playwright:<\/strong> \u00c1lvaro Tato in Malvivir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia for Best Direction:<\/strong> Juan Carlos P\u00e9rez de la Fuente for Torquemada<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia for Best Show:<\/strong> El hombre almohada, co-produced by Producciones Teatrales Contempor\u00e1neas, Producciones Abu, Teatros del Canal, Milonga Producciones, V\u00e9rtigo Tours, Som Produce, Gosua, Teatro Picadero and Anexa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ll\u00e0ntia d’Honor:<\/strong> Cristina Fenollar and Manolo Ochoa for their brilliant careers in the field of the performing arts and for consolidating themselves as references of honesty and commitment in the world of acting, both in theatre and in television and film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards gala<\/strong> will be held on 17 October at 20h<\/strong>. An event full of surprises that commemorates the life and career of Jos\u00e9 Estruch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year a new ll\u00e0ntia has been added: the ll\u00e0ntia d’honor. The ll\u00e0ntia for the best main performance has also been changed for the ll\u00e0ntia for best main actor and best main actress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the second consecutive year, the ll\u00e0ntia is designed by the sculptor Miguel Ba\u00f1uls Maci\u00e1<\/strong>. It is an abstract sculpture, in keeping with the aesthetic line he has been investigating recently, and its treatment of space and light is reminiscent of a modern or almost futuristic theatrical set design, through a set of backdrops.
