Gisele Jackson & The Shu Shu´s
For this year’s Alicante Blues Festival, “A Meeting with the Blues” features African-American Gisele Jackson, hailed as a diva by Billboard magazine. She played Bessie in the play “Life & Death of Bessie Smith.” She has shared the stage with Ray Charles, Donna Summer, and James Brown, and performed at Bill Clinton’s inauguration. The artist is accompanied by her European band, The Shu Shu’s, who have been touring Europe for over 10 years.
