Are you in love, or just experiencing a strong dopamine surge? Is there a difference? Does your true self differ in any way from your brain’s neurochemistry? These are the questions Connie and Tristán ask themselves when they discover they’re in love. The problem is, they don’t know if the connection they feel is real or a consequence of a new antidepressant. They are two volunteers in a clinical drug trial, and their romance creates alarming dilemmas for their supervising physicians.
