La Quijá
Inspired by the Siberian region of Extremadura, the birthplace of choreographer Paloma Muñoz, La Quijá—a term alluding to the jawbone of animals—is a piece that delves into memory, its voids, and the atmospheres that permeate them. It is a dance of resonances: of ghosts of the past and fantasies of the present. A search for common roots.
A journey inward, toward the substance that dwells in the bones. To dance from the marrow, to point to the sky with the jawbone and make it crack.
