A story about family, identity, and the pride of being true to oneself.

Jacinto and Tebi are a couple who successfully run a highly modern, progressive, and inclusive hair salon—a shining example of self-expression channeled through hairstyling, coloring, and nail art. Their young adopted son, Mario, isn’t quite on the same wavelength as his parents; at times, he wishes he belonged to a “more normal” family because he struggles to understand some of their social behaviors. A curious and chance encounter allows Mario to experience firsthand—and truly understand—everything his parents have endured to reach where they are today. Through Mario’s eyes, the audience embarks on a journey filled with stories and music, where the value of family and the ongoing struggle of the LGBTQIA+ community take center stage in this musical production.
