El lago de los cisnes, Ballet Clásico Internacional
Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake is the quintessential work of universal classical ballet and the ultimate expression of the Russian school of dance. Premiered in 1877 at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre, Swan Lake is the most performed work in the history of dance. Its plot covers the full range of human emotions, spanning the ages between love and magic, the eternal struggle between good and evil.
Prince Siegfried receives the news that he must choose a wife at the upcoming ball. In a nearby forest, on the shore of a mysterious lake, he is captivated by the beauty of Princess Odette, who is the victim of a spell cast on her by the powerful and evil magician Rothbart: a swan by day, a human by night. The curse will only be broken with the arrival of true love.
