Giselle, Ballet Clásico Internacional
In a medieval Rhineland village, a young peasant girl named Giselle has fallen in love and believes her love is reciprocated. To no avail, the forester Hilarion tries to convince her that Albrecht is not a simple peasant, but a nobleman who is deceiving her by disguising himself. Giselle is shocked when she realizes her lover’s cruel deception, loses her mind, and dies.
At night, among the graves in the cemetery, the “willis” appear, the specters of brides who died before their weddings. Following the orders of the implacable Mirtha, the willis draw Hilarion and Albrecht into their deadly circle. But Giselle’s love saves the count’s life.
