La bella durmiente, Ballet Clásico Internacional

Sleeping Beauty, premiered in St. Petersburg in 1890, is a grand ballet featuring three magnificent palace celebrations: the presentation of the newborn Princess Aurora, her 16th birthday, and her wedding, plus the beautiful dream sequence. The wicked witch Carabosse predicts that the Princess will prick her finger and die, but the Lilac Fairy changes it to a dream. One hundred years later, Prince Désiré’s kiss awakens her. At her wedding, alongside the king, courtiers, and fairies, we see the most famous characters from Charles Perrault’s fairy tales: Cinderella and the Prince, Puss in Boots and his Kitten, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, the Bluebird and Princess Florine, and the protagonists dance their famous pas de deux.
