In the coastal town of Lloret de Mar, Marina and Jorge, raised as siblings, love each other but both keep their love to themselves. Jorge, now a fledgling ship captain, sets off on a voyage. During his absence, Pascual, a rough and coarse caulker, asks for Marina’s hand in marriage. She accepts, but hopes she asks Jorge, whom she considers her only family. Upon his return, Jorge painfully accepts. A letter from Marina’s father and Pascual’s jealousy complicate the situation.- Company: Alicante Lyric Company
