Leonor Gago Artist Management (LGAM), in collaboration with the Moldovan National Opera, presents a majestic new production of Nabucco, Giuseppe Verdi’s four-act opera that marked the beginning of his career as a composer. With a powerful story of oppression, faith, and redemption, Nabucco not only dazzles with its dramatic power but is also a universal symbol of hope and freedom. Set during the biblical conflict between the Hebrews and Babylonians, the plot revolves around Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, his ambitious and vengeful adopted daughter Abigaille, and the Hebrew people’s struggle for liberation. This opera offers moments of intense lyricism and choral grandeur, among which the iconic “Va, pensiero” stands out, the chorus of the Hebrew slaves, considered an anthem of resistance that has moved entire generations.
